The Exchange TRX is gearing up to end 2024 on a high note with its much-anticipated New Year’s Eve Countdown Party. Following the success of last year’s event, which drew an impressive crowd, this year’s celebration promises to be even more spectacular.

Located in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, The Exchange TRX—a hub of extraordinary experiences and premium brands—is preparing to host its second New Year’s Eve countdown party. Set against the backdrop of the picturesque Raintree Plaza, an inviting open space at the entrance of The Exchange TRX, this unforgettable evening will feature electrifying music, dazzling fireworks, a variety of delectable food, and an exciting lineup of activities.

When the sun dips below the horizon, Raintree Plaza will come alive with music, energy, and a touch of stardust. Headlining the show is none other than the multi-talented Henry Lau, Canadian singer-songwriter and K-pop sensation from Super Junior-M, alongside the American pop duo Capital Cities. Yes, you read that right—you’ll be dancing to Safe and Sound live.

Joining them is Southeast Asia and Malaysia’s hip-hop pioneer Joe Flizzow and the chart-topping SonaOne. Adding some star power on the local front, actress and singer-songwriter Daiyan Trisha will serenade the crowd before DJ Ashley Lau and her Cherry Bomb partner Aida ‘Aidaho’ Azrin take the decks, spinning beats that’ll have you dancing into 2025.

But wait, there’s more! Rising stars Yuji, Putri Dahlia, NYK, K-Town Clan, Saint Kylo, and PALENCIA are set to deliver show-stopping performances.

Here’s the best part—entry is absolutely free. All you need to do is show up early with your IC or passport for verification at the gate. But remember, it’s first-come, first-served, and proof of age is mandatory. Not recommended for kids under 12, and anyone under 16 must be accompanied by an adult (no, “I’m with my older sibling” won’t cut it unless they’re 18+).

Gates open at 4:30 PM, with queuing starting from noon. The main show kicks off at 5 PM, so pack your patience, comfy shoes, and a sprinkle of excitement.

All the fun is located in the Raintree Plaza, where all the live performances and fireworks magic happen. The General Zone offers a lively festival vibe and if you’re feeling fancy, Lendlease Plus MY members can upgrade to the Members Zone with prime stage views, while app loyalty members can snag access to the Viewing Lawn at Sunlight Plaza for panoramic fireworks and live streams of the show.

More than just music

When hunger strikes, Raintree Plaza has you covered with food vendors dishing out everything from savoury delights to sweet treats. And if you’re more into late-night shopping than late-night snacking, over 70 stores at The Exchange TRX, including Kate Spade, Coach, and Swarovski, will be open. Got room for more indulgence? Head to Warung Eropa or Two Sons Bistro for a feast.

In the spirit of the season, The Exchange TRX is teaming up with Kechara Soup Kitchen for the ‘Do Good, Feel Good’ campaign, supporting food distribution and Indigenous outreach programs. Feel like spreading some good karma? Donations can be made on-site or online using the reference ‘TRXNYE.’
