- Superintendent Alex Charge stated the restrictions aim to prevent offences, protect communities, and ensure participants can lawfully exercise their democratic rights.
- Southampton Itchen MP Darren Paffey warned that those intent on stirring up fear, division, or disorder should stay away from the city.
- Kent Police have also prepared robust measures and deployed additional officers to manage planned demonstrations and counter-protests in Dover on Saturday.
