
One of the most versatile actors of her generation, Sweet Home fame Go Min-si, with an array of hit movies and TV shows to her credit, has successfully left her mark in the Korean entertainment world. Here are the top titles from the superstar’s career trajectory.
Go Min-si initially started her journey in the industry as a director, making her directorial debut with the movie Parallel Novel in 2016. However, her love for the on-camera experience made her transition into acting. Masterfully covering action, thriller and romance genres, Go Min-si has delivered some of the best and highest-rated K-dramas and movies in the last few years.
Leading the list is the 2024 Netflix K-drama The Frog, which focuses on a vacation rental owner in Seoul and his plight after encountering a mysterious guest. Directed by The World of the Married fame Mo Wan-il, the show became an instant hit. It landed in Netflix’s Global Top Ten TV (Non-English) List with over 11,400,000 hours viewed, as of 8 September 2024.
Meanwhile, one of the highest-grossing Korean movies of all time, Decision to Leave starring Go Min-si is a perfect blend of thriller and romance. The movie premiered at the Cannes Film Festival as a competitor for the Palme d’Or in April 2022, where Park Chan-wook won Best Director. Additionally, Decision to Leave was also selected as the South Korean entry for Best International Feature Film at the 95th Academy Awards.
Not to forget Sweet Home, which makes for one of the best TV shows featuring Go Min-si. The series elevated her appeal as an actor and put her in the global limelight. After its release in 2020, Sweet Home season 1 was viewed by over 22 million subscribers worldwide in the first four weeks of its release.
