I have received positive feedbacks from readers regarding the story narrated by former High Court Judge, Dato' Syed Ahmad Idid, who's known as Father of HR in Malaysia, titled by “Integrating the wisdom of seasoned HR veterans with current HR professionals, for strategic business growth” published by newswav.com on 10 March, 2026. Many poised the questions, “What will be the significant transition shift from current HR practices to the future of HR?” They're concerned HR will use AI & sentiment analysis to provide personalized career paths, tailored benefits & “just in time” learning experience.

To provide insights and recommendations on this matter, we need to quickly organize a roundtable for HR eminent thought leaders to share their thoughts and solutions. In particular, it should focus on the concept of “human readiness” - ensuring that Malaysians are not only technologically enabled, but also socially protected, continuously skilled & productively engaged. I have spoken with Tan Sri Dato' Dr. R. Palan, Pro-Chancellor, University of Cyberjaya (UoC) who has shown interest for UoC to set-up a secretariat in collaboration with Personal Transformation Sdn Bhd to coordinate a half-day symposium.

Concurrently, I've already touched base with a few HR eminent thought leaders and captured their candid feedback for a series of stories on HR published by newswav.com. namely, one of the top economist, Professor Emeritus Tan Sri Anuwar Ali, Professor Roslan Razak (former Sime Darby's HR expert), Yazdi Bankwala (United Kingdom), Senator Syed Shahir (former MTUC President), Professor Naqi Azam (DHA Suffa Pakistan) & Dr. JM Sampath (India).

In a nutshell, these HR eminent thought leaders talked about the future of HR represents a shift from transactional, administrative, and reactive processes to proactive, data-driven, and employee-centric experiences. The future of HR is defined by AI integration, agile work environment & a strategic focus on humanizing the workplace through technology. HR professionals will focus on strategic workforce planning and ROI-driven initiatives & business growth.
