The Visit Malaysia Year 2026 is a national campaign supported by organizations of the public and private sectors, with Grab continuing the push through the release of the 5-Star Eats feature for its mobile app.
Instead of relying on traditional guidebooks, everything is digitalized to provide as much convenience and info as fast as possible while hosting things like real customer reviews that can be browsed and referenced by travellers.
It is also made easy for users to filter/sort by region and category, check ratings on a 0–5 scale, and even plan their ride and meal seamlessly within the same app. For establishments receiving consistent positive reviews from customers, they will be awarded the ‘5-Star Eats Badge’ and be placed in featured sections for even better exposure.
To celebrate the launch, Grab also unveiled a large Grab 5-Star Eats mural along Jalan Hang Kasturi near the Pasar Seni area, bridging the gap between online discovery and the real-world food scene. The artwork was created by Malaysian artist Nasuha Ibrahim, transforming an ordinary wall into a colourful tribute to Malaysia’s diverse food culture.
