Infinix is about to stir up the entry-level smartphone market with the upcoming Hot 50 5G smartphone, this phone is expected to go on sale in Malaysia in the upcoming week and have several attractive features for budget phone hunters.

Sporting a 6.7-inch HD+ display with 120Hz refresh rate, the phone is powered by a Mediatek Dimensity 6300 chipset paired to 8GB RAM and 256GB of storage, it should offer decent performance considering the chipset has been present on some sub-RM1000 phones.

The phone’s camera array has a really nice design too, although it has three cameras on the back, only one is usable and it is a 48MP Sony IMX582 sensor with a f/1.79 aperture, while selfies are serviced by an 8MP camera through a punch hole cutout.

Other features of the Infinix Hot 50 include NFC connectivity, FM radio, a side mounted fingerprint reader, and a 5000mAh battery that supports 18W fast wired charging, which is overall a very good hardware package for an entry-level device.

With all these features on the table, the Infinix Hot 50 is set to retail at RM599 in Malaysia, which directly rivals the Redmi 14C with the same storage configuration, albeit with better performance and 5G connectivity.
