Disneyland is one of the most popular theme parks. It is all over the world. Good news for Malaysians! In the future, you don’t have to travel far abroad because Disneyland will reportedly open in Malaysia.
A Disneyland and Disney City Theme Park with an area of approximately 80.9 hectares which is the largest in Southeast Asian Countries (ASEAN) will be developed in the Jasin district in 2027, reported Melaka Hari Ini.
State Tourism, Heritage and Culture Exco Datuk Muhammad Jailani Khamis stated that the development of the theme park is the first to be established in ASEAN after China, Korea, Europe, and Japan. Its construction will cost about RM2 billion.
“After more than 20 years, we will have a new theme park. Even though it is not that big, I think it is enough with the name of Disneyland that can be brought in.”
“It will further improve our target to increase the target of 20 million tourists within three years. And return to the original track of 18.7 million tourists that we have achieved in 2019.
“Disneyland is in planning, we are planning the possibility of it being in the Jasin district. We cannot tell the exact location, but the area is around 150 to 200 acres (60.7 to 80.9 hectares).
Not only that, but Melaka is also planning to build a ‘Maglev’ train system. It is to connect interesting areas to attract tourists along 22 kilometers.
