The main goal of Mahathir's Malay declaration agenda is to topple Anwar's unity government.
Several PAS leaders have recently signed THE Malay Proclamation, which was the idea of the irate former prime minister (PM), Tun Dr. Mahathir Mohammed.
According to Focus Malaysia, the decree outlines a 12-point plan to save the nation's Malays. It effectively asks for the Malays to band together in order to achieve their freedom.
Ironically, the source of this proclamation and the signatories are both political figures who have repeatedly failed the Malays.
Despite serving two terms as prime minister, Dr. Mahathir did little to improve the social and economic standing of the Malay minority. The entire world is aware that Dr. Mahathir might used and used the vocabulary of race and, to some extent, religion for the benefit of his family and associates.
What were Dr. Mahathir and PAS leaders doing all these years if they are so passionate about improving the Malays?
For more than 22 years, Dr. Mahathir presided as prime minister with essentially absolute power. Why didn't he take meaningful action to improve the Malays' social and economic standing? Why cry and whine right now? What then is his true ulterior goal? Is it to overthrow Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim's genuine unity government?
According to FMT, former Malaysian Prime Minister Dr. Mahathir Mohamad's "Malay's Proclamation" has received the personal signatures of three Bersatu leaders. They are Iskandar Dzulkarnain Abdul Khalid, the chief of information, Razali Idris, and Ahmad Faizal Azumu, the deputy president of Bersatu.
"When we attended a buka puasa ceremony at Yayasan Perdana, the three of us had signed it," Razali told FMT.
He added he didn't know if any other Bersatu leaders had subsequently signed the paper intended for unifying and "saving" the community or had plans to do so.
Following a meeting with Mahathir, it was reported that PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang and numerous other party officials signed the proclamation.
