The Mazda CX-90 will be offered with an inline-six engine with record-breaking amounts of power.

Ahead of the 31st January world premiere of the all-new CX-90, Mazda has announced that 2024 CX-90 will be offered with the automaker's new  3.3L inline six e-Skyactiv Turbo engine, a highly anticipated mill which apparently has record-breaking amounts of power.

How much power? well, Mazda said the inline can produce 340bhp and 500Nm of torque, which means it is the most powerful engine Mazda has produced.

It was developed specifically to be used on Mazda's large platform cars, which according to the Hiroshima-based company, will give all of those cars an engaging driving experience and a sweet exhaust note.

Mazda is trying their best to make the CX-90 an engaging drive, which is why it will also equip the large SUV with its fabled Kinematic Posture Control (KPC) - first introduced on the MX-5 - offering less body roll through brake technology without harming ride quality.

The CX-90 will also be offered with what Mazda calls a performance-oriented plug-in-hybrid system, offering the best of both worlds in terms of fuel efficiency and performance. However, we're not sure what it'll consist of as there are few details about it going around.

The three-row SUV is built on Mazda’s all-new large platform and will be the company’s flagship vehicle that offers wider, longer, and more aggressive proportions than any current Mazda vehicle.
