It’s-a-me, Black Friday! Well, almost. While the annual sale is still more than a month away, the impatient gamers among us don’t have to wait that long. Retailers have already started snipping the price of the Nintendo Switch 2, giving bargain-hunters a chance to save on Nintendo’s latest console before Black Friday rolls around.
With the console boasting a bigger display, improved performance and new first-party exclusives, such as the cult favourite Pokémon Pokopia, deals on the Nintendo Switch 2 have been few and far between. Nintendo even hiked the price of the Switch 2 console last month.
However, Black Friday 2026 could be your best bet for securing a decent saving this side of Christmas. The Nintendo Switch 2 isn’t the only console expected to get a price cut in the November sale, either, with deals on the PS5 and Xbox Series X also anticipated. But if you’ve set your sights on the Nintendo Switch 2, keep scrolling to find out what to expect this Black Friday 2026, along with details of a saving you can snap up right now.

When will Nintendo Switch 2 Black Friday deals start?
This year, Black Friday falls on Friday 27 November 2026, with Cyber Monday taking place on Monday 30 November. But, as we’ve seen in previous years, retailers rarely wait until the big day itself to start slashing prices.
Last year, Currys even kicked off its Black Friday sale in late October, with Amazon starting its 12-day Black Friday sale on 20 November. Nintendo has a Black Friday sale every year as well, with the retailer usually kicking things off by mid-November. It launched its Black Friday sale on 17 November last year, 18 November in 2024 and 16 November in 2023.
I’m hoping to see some Nintendo Switch Black Friday deals in early November, likely with games first, before the hardware deals potentially arrive in mid-November.
What Nintendo Switch deals can we expect to see for Black Friday 2026?
Hopefully better ones than last year. Because the Nintendo Switch 2 launched in June 2025, there were barely any discounts at all last Black Friday.
You could find a tiny £10 discount on the console at Amazon, for example. The retailer also slashed £25 off the Mario Kart World bundle. Meanwhile, Very was selling the Switch 2 with Donkey Kong Bananza for £409, with Argos bundling the console with Pokémon Legends: Z-A for £405.99. I’m hoping to see steeper discounts on the Switch 2 standalone console this year, as well as beefier bundles.
While Nintendo hosted its own Black Friday sale last year, it didn’t discount the Switch 2 console. That said, you could find a pretty tasty bundle deal with Mario Kart World. It cost £429.99 but you also got a free 12-month Nintendo Switch Online membership and a Yoshi Christmas ornament. The best savings could be found at the Nintendo eshop, which had loads of deals on Switch 2 and Switch 1 games.
This year, I’m hopeful of seeing bigger and better deals on the Switch 2. Even though Nintendo hiked the price of the console last month, it fell to its lowest-ever price for Amazon’s October Prime Day, taking the price down to just £354.99. I’ll be keeping an eagle eye out for more discounts on the console itself this Black Friday, as well as on games, accessories and bundles.

Nintendo Switch 2
While it’s not the cheapest price I’ve seen it (the price of the console fell to about £350 earlier this month, in the Amazon Prime Day sale), you can still save more than 11 per cent on the Switch 2 ahead of Black Friday. “If you love first-party Nintendo titles, enjoy fun and easy-to-play arcade or party games, play a lot of couch co-op or have a young family that likes or wants to play together, then the Nintendo Switch 2 is easy to recommend,” wrote gaming correspondent Jake Brigstock in his review of the Switch 2. It’s a great console for all the family and is a worthy successor to the OG Nintendo Switch.
