  • Ball, 36, described the debt as a “huge burden” and a source of significant financial insecurity, saying he believed he would “die with it”.
  • He studied broadcast journalism and later drama, earning a Certificate in Drama from Yale and a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.
  • The Pitt has been critically acclaimed, winning three Emmys last year, including Outstanding Drama Series, and Best Actor for Noah Wyle and Best Supporting Actress for Katherine LaNasa.
  • The series, which follows a single shift in a Pittsburgh hospital's emergency room, has aired its second series, with a third already commissioned.
