‘The Remarried Empress’ set to premiere on Disney+ this Nov

MANILA, Philippines — K-drama fans have another highly anticipated series to look forward to as “The Remarried Empress,” starring Shin Min-a, Ju Ji-hoon, Lee Jong-suk, and Lee Se-young, is set to premiere on Disney+ on Nov. 4, 2026.

Based on the popular Naver webtoon of the same name, which has garnered nearly three billion views to date, the 10-part drama centers on love, betrayal, power, and a royal marriage on the brink of collapse.

The series follows Empress Navier, portrayed by Shin Min-a, and Emperor Sovieshu, played by Ju Ji-hoon, whose relationship begins to crumble after the emperor falls for Rashta, a runaway slave portrayed by Lee Se-young.

As Sovieshu's relationship with Rashta develops, Navier finds herself pushed aside despite being the emperor's wife and empress. She eventually agrees to his request for a divorce—but with one condition: she must be allowed to remarry Crown Prince Heinrey, Sovieshu's rival from the Western Kingdom, played by Lee Jong-suk.

What follows is a complicated tale of love, lust, regret, and political rivalry as Navier seeks to reclaim her power and determine her own future.

Shin Min-a, known for dramas such as “My Girlfriend Is a Gumiho,” “Hometown Cha-Cha-Cha,” and “Our Blues,” takes on the role of the determined Empress Navier.

Ju Ji-hoon, who recently starred in “The Trauma Code: Heroes on Call,” portrays Sovieshu, while Lee Jong-suk, known for “W” and “While You Were Sleeping,” plays Crown Prince Heinrey.

Lee Se-young, whose previous works include “The Red Sleeve” and “What Comes After Love,” rounds out the main cast as Rashta.

Disney+ said the series would debut with four episodes on Nov. 4. Two new episodes will then be released every Wednesday, leading to the finale on Nov. 25.

With its acclaimed source material and high-profile cast, “The Remarried Empress” is poised to bring one of the webtoon world’s most popular stories to life on screen this November.
