The Simpsons failed to predict the future for the first time after Kamala Harris lost the United States presidential election to Donald Trump.
In a 2000 episode, the long-running sitcom appeared to predict that the vice president would clinch victory.
It depicted Lisa Simpson becoming president, wearing an outfit of a purple suit and pearls similar to what Ms Harris wore to her vice presidential inauguration.
However, Ms Harris lost to Mr Trump — who secured a historic second term in the White House.
