The status of MIC will be determined in January next year - Zahid

MIC's position in Barisan Nasional (BN) will be determined in the BN Supreme Council meeting to be held in January next year.

The matter was stated by BN Chairman, Dtuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi.

"It has nothing to do with the UMNO (PAU) 2025 General Assembly because UMNO's status with MIC is the same, it is in Barisan Nasional (BN).

"So we will hold the Barisan Nasional Supreme Council Meeting in January next year and we will decide at that time," he said in Sekinchan today.

Zahid, who is also the Deputy Prime Minister, said this when asked about the possibility of UMNO submitting an emergency motion at the UMNO (PAU) 2025 General Assembly, to discuss the status of MIC. – December 20, 2025
