Kota Kinabalu: THE Urgent Water Supply Scheme (UWSS) projects for the Telibong Water Treatment Plant I and II are still under construction, said Assistant Public Works Minister Datuk Limus Jury.

For the Telibong II Water Treatment Plant UWSS project, he said, the progress as of Oct 31 is 93 per cent and is scheduled to be fully completed in February 2023.

“The water treatment plant that will supply 10 million litres of treated water per day to the KKIP area is expected to be operational in mid-2023,” he said in response to a question by Likas Assemblyman Tan Lee Fatt. For the Telibong I Water Treatment Plant UWSS project, he said the progress as of October 31 is 95 per cent.

“The water treatment plant that will supply five million litres of treated water per day is implemented by concessionaire Jetama Sdn Bhd under the Kota Kinabalu Water Supply Privatisation.

“The project is expected to be completed by the end of this year,” he said.
