The 2nd Wisdom Malaysia Conference (WMC) 2026 serves as a platform for current and former industry leaders to share knowledge, experience, and insights with managers, emerging CEOs, and entrepreneurs, as well as academicians. WMC 2026 features learning sessions on leadership, discernment skills, and transformation case studies, as well as question-and-answer and networking sessions to enable participants to gain practical insights from the speakers. This timely conference was organized by KerjayaOne PLT led by its Chairman, Attorney Dato' Seri Abdul Mutalib Razak. One of the conference highlights was Wisdom Exchange session “Learning from the Past, Looking to the Future” featuring the Chairman of Universiti Teknologi Malaysia, Tan Sri Azman Mokhtar, and the Chairman of Cypark Resources Berhad, Tan Sri Abdul Wahid Omar, with Chairman of Yayasan Pendidikan Islam, and KL Economic Club, Dato' Seri Mohamed Iqbal Rawther, as moderator.
Their session focused heavily on transitioning institutional governance into a digital, ethical, and economically fair future while safeguarding core human values. In shifting from past economic, and business paradigms to future corporate survival, both Tan Sri Azman and Tan Sri Abdul Wahid, reenforced the concept that past systemic success was built on trust and independent structure. They shared experiences that leaders must focus on leaving public and private entities stronger, fairer, and cleaner than they found them: “The leadership wisdom we have built through the years, should not be viewed as a means of personal advancement, but as a responsibility to strengthen institutions for those who come after. The wisdom of how we navigated a particular crisis developed over the years of facing institutional pressure. The years of tested experience gained from navigating crisis, could be lost if there were no mechanisms to pass those lessons on to the future generations.”
Moderator, Dato' Seri Iqbal who's Group Deputy Chairman, Falim Group Berhad & Vice President, Malaysia-Japan Economic Association aptly summarized the session that “To develop Wisdom Leadership for the future, organizations must transition from traditional, metrics-only management to a holistic model that blends data-driven foresight with deep ethical grounding. Looking ahead, wisdom leadership is no longer just an abstract philosophical concepts. It is a practical business requirement to navigate rapid changing geopolitics, new management, and workforce expectations.”
