- The themed area originally opened in 2021 following a collaboration with the author and publisher HarperCollins.
- The decision comes after HarperCollins dropped Walliams and began phasing out his books following allegations of inappropriate behaviour.
- Walliams has strongly denied all allegations of inappropriate conduct and stated he was never informed of any investigation by the publisher.
- Alton Towers confirmed the closure forms part of its routine annual operational review, with no future plans for the space yet announced.
