Theo James praised Fuze director David Mackenzie at the film’s premiere on 26 March, highlighting his collaborative approach on set.
He noted that Mackenzie gives actors space to experiment, allowing for longer takes and moments of improvisation.
However, James added that too much freedom can be a drawback, joking, “You don't want too much freedom with actors, because they start, you know, talking absolute dog sh*t.”
He also commended the film’s authenticity, recalling how he was given the opportunity to physically drill into a diamond fault, allowing him to get his hands dirty and fully immerse himself.
