Local bakery brand Rotiboy announces that it will permanently close its KLCC location on September 8th onwards and netizens are in mourning.
Having been in operation for not just one, not two, but 21 years, the well-known store in KLCC is among the oldest in Malaysia.
In a statement shared by @rotiboymalaysia, they thank Malaysians for their support and love for the past two decades however it is now time to say goodbye.
"Segala yang baik akan berakhir juga bagi membuka peluang untuk mencapai sesuatu yang lebih berpretasi dan lebih baik. Namun begitu, adalah keberatan hati dan dukacitanya, kami mengumumkan bahawa Rotiboy KLCC akan ditutup selama-lamanya dari 8 September 2024."
Over the platform X, netizens are currently reacting to the news.
Many express their sadness of the situation as this specific Rotiboy outlet is almost as if it's a historical landmark.
"There goes the signature smell of KLCC LRT station."
