Online shopping is a big deal these days. You can buy almost anything with just a few clicks from your couch. It’s super convenient and saves a ton of time, plus it often costs less than shopping in physical stores. But, there are some downsides you should know about.

One big worry with online shopping is getting stuff that’s broken or never shows up. Even though delivery services have gotten better, sometimes packages get messed up while they’re on their way to you.

And sometimes, things just vanish, either because of delivery mistakes or because, like in a video posted on X, people, even kids, swipe them from doorsteps.

The video showed how goods were often stolen by children near their homes. In the footage from a CCTV camera, a young boy boldly walked up to a house and took items placed within the house’s grill.

He can be seen quickly grabbing the parcels and hurrying away, leaving behind only frustration and disappointment for those expecting them.

Another lost parcel review today. No wonder parcels keep getting lost. It’s so stressful dealing with kids these days. They just take other people’s parcels,” the original poster captioned.

Comments on the video showed how upset people were, with many feeling sorry for the victim and criticising the thief for his lack of decorum.

One wrote: “Where is this area? I feel sorry for the parcel delivery person who has to compensate, gets bad reviews, and gets scolded because the item is lost.”

Another commented: “If it were me, with evidence already available, I’d just report it to the police. Let these kids get caught.”

One chimed in: “There are kids with such behaviour in my residential area too. I don’t understand what goes through their minds to want to take other people’s parcels.”
