Political graphic artist Fahmi Reza is no stranger to controversy as his satirical artwork on various current and pressing issues has multiple times in the past been deemed to be too offensive.
Although a large number of Malaysians enjoy the work he does, he often gets into trouble with the authorities and hate from members of the public for his provoking pieces.
Recently, Fahmi revealed that his latest installation is a huge mural serving as a warning at the upcoming haze season in the heart of KL.
Vandalised by haters
Following the completion of the mural, Fahmi took to Twitter to share that his mural has been vandalised in less than 24 hours after it was completed!
In his post, Fahmi wrote, “Hasn’t been even 24 hours and somebody already painted over the foot of the letter ‘R’ with either yellow paint or spray paint“.
“They work so quickly! Really determined”, he added.
He then shared that he has since fixed the act of the vandals.
Impressive skills
Although there are haters of his work, the majority of Twitter users loved his mural and the objective behind it. A number of users also expressed how impressed they are that he did the mural using the free-hand method.
Another user commented, “So smooth! Naturally artistic!”
“The satisfaction when he finished up the ‘R’ at the bottom. Perfect(ly) in line!”
