Thiago Silva is confident Chelsea can challenge for the Premier League title next season.
The Blues have had a slow transfer window, having recruited just two players in Raheem Sterling and Kalidou Koulibaly.
But Silva believes Thomas Tuchel's squad is strong enough to take out the title.
"To win the Premier League," Silva told the club's website when asked about their targets this season.
"It's a very difficult league to play in, but I think it's possible."
Chelsea beat Udinese in a friendly on Friday, and Silva was happy with the performance heading into Saturday's Premier League opener.
"We have to do things well now during the week before the start of the Premier League," Silva added.
"I think we are not at 100 per cent quite yet, but we must work hard and well this week to arrive ready for Saturday."
