Thieves steal £115k worth of Guinness from Cheshire depot

  • Police have launched an investigation after around 800 barrels of Guinness, worth £115,000, were stolen from a depot in Runcorn.
  • The thieves took two HGV trailers containing roughly 70,400 pints of stout intended for pubs from an industrial estate on Monday evening.
  • Cheshire Constabulary estimated the total value of the stolen items, including the two trailers, at approximately £205,000.
  • Two male drivers are believed to have driven the white GXO-branded trailers towards the Mersey Gateway bridge and Rainhill.
  • Detectives have appealed for witnesses and motorists with dashcam footage from the Aston Lane area to contact the force.
