
PAPAR: The bodies of all three victims of a landslide at Kampung Marahang Tuntul, Papar, have been recovered, according to the Sabah Fire and Rescue Department.
State Fire and Rescue Director PKPjB Mohd Pisar Aziz said the incident, reported at 9.20am on Monday, buried a family of three when part of their house collapsed under the landslide.
“Two victims, a 32-year-old woman and her 11-year-old daughter, were found in the afternoon. The final victim, a six-year-old boy, was recovered later,” he said in a statement.
Earlier, rescuers discovered the mother and her daughter at about 2.18pm, with witnesses saying the woman was found hugging her child.
A total of 16 fire personnel, including the Storm unit, were deployed to the scene, together with police and medical officers.
