PAPAR: The bodies of all three victims buried in a landslide at Kampung Marahang Tuntul were recovered by rescue teams, according to Sabah Fire and Rescue Director PKPjB Mohd Pisar Aziz.
He said the victims – a 34-year-old woman, her six-year-old son and 10-year-old daughter – were found between 4.20pm and 8.45pm on Monday.
“All three victims were confirmed dead by the Health Ministry and handed over to police for further action,” he said, adding that the operation ended at 2.05am on Tuesday.
A total of 16 firefighters, including members of the Storm unit, were deployed to the scene alongside personnel from the police, armed forces, health department, civil defence and RELA.
Mohd Pisar said the rescue teams worked under challenging conditions due to unstable soil and heavy rain but managed to complete the operation safely.
