A wholesome moment on the train in Malaysia has gone viral recently, featuring a random act of kindness by a Malaysian woman for a mother and her 2-month-old child.

As of the time of writing, the video, shared by byranlowwww on TikTok has garnered over 1 million views and more than 65,300 likes, with many Malaysians asserting that the cute interaction is everything that our country represents.

In the short 6-second video, a Malay woman can be seen standing in front of a Chinese mother holding a baby inside of a train and fanning them with what looks like a pillow as the train door closes.

The overlaid text on the video reads,

“The 2-month-old baby was feeling the heat inside the train, and this Malay aunty immediately came and helped to fan her. This is our country ”

It is believed that the two women didn’t know each other prior to the video and the Malay woman’s action was a spontaneous response to seeing the Chinese woman and her baby feeling warm.

While the video is super short, it left an impact on many Malaysians who saw it, with many sharing their own stories of unity in our country.

One commenter said that the Malay woman’s action was her instinct as a mother kicking in, with another netizen echoing the same sentiment, asserting that the woman is also a mother, so she knows.

Meanwhile, one commenter said that our country is not divided but it is politicians that are tearing our unity apart. Besides that, one Malay woman in the comments shared how when she was injured at a parking lot, a Chinese boy came running to help her.

The Malay woman herself made a cameo in the comments section, saying thanks to bryanlowwww for his kind words in the TikTok post and revealing that the video was recorded in a train originating from Bukit Mertajam.
