A sharing by a Malaysian woman about her recent trip to Japan caught the attention of netizens recently, garnering over 808,000 views and 41,100 likes as of the time of writing.

In her video, @_intanizzaty revealed how her Apple iPad was accidentally left behind at a public place in an undisclosed area in Japan. To her shock and amazement, the tablet was still there the next day and was left untouched when she retrieved it.

At the start of the video, @_intanizzaty shared how she had accidentally left the iPad at an eatery the previous night. Hence, she returned to the location to look for the tablet with her family.

She revealed that she cried the whole night because of the lost iPad and couldn’t do anything about it the previous night as the eatery was already closed.

As she was approaching the eatery with her family, @_intanizzaty’s husband noticed the iPad from afar and rushed to the front of the eatery.

As it turned out, the woman had accidentally left the iPad on top of the sign in front of the eatery. Furthermore, despite being left there overnight, the tablet was still there, untouched.

It was further revealed that @_intanizzaty didn’t even put a password on the tablet, so her child could easily unlock and use it.

Moreover, Apple’s ‘Find My’ feature wasn’t even turned on for the tablet, hence, anyone could’ve taken the iPad and reformat it with ease.

After retrieving it, her husband immediately set those two security features on the iPad.

In the caption, @_intanizzaty said that Japan is one of the safest places, which is why she travels to the country at least once a year.

Malaysians praise Japan for being one of the safest countries in the world to visit

In the comments section, Malaysians shared their thoughts on the incident, with many praising the honesty of the Japanese people.

One commenter noted that it is rare for anyone to lose their belongings in public in Japan, except if the thing in question is an umbrella.

Meanwhile, one commenter joked that should @_intanizzaty have left the iPad in a public place in Malaysia, it would be gone in under 30 seconds.

Besides that, one commenter who had worked in Japan in the past noted that people won’t touch your belongings in public, even if you leave your wallet and smartphone on a table unattended.
