Over 3,000 supporters gathered outside the Palace of Justice today to show solidarity with former Prime Minister Najib Razak, despite police restrictions and roadblocks designed to limit the turnout.

According to FMT, the crowd, which included members and leaders of political parties PAS, Bersatu, Umno, as well as various NGOs, arrived as early as 6:30 a.m., holding banners with slogans such as "#Justice4Najib" and "#BebasNajib." The rally underscored the unwavering support for Najib, who is currently appealing to serve the remainder of his jail sentence under house arrest.

Prominent political figures were spotted inside the court complex, including PAS secretary-general Takiyuddin Hassan, Bersatu deputy president Hamzah Zainudin, and PAS vice-president Ahmad Samsuri Mokhtar. Umno Youth Chief Dr. Akmal Saleh also joined the gathering. In a Facebook post, he declared, "Anak jantan (real men) are here with the people. We don't stay in hotel rooms while using the people."

Despite the significant turnout, not all supporters made it to the rally. At least three buses carrying Najib's backers were stopped at police roadblocks earlier this morning. Photos shared by news portal SuaraTV showed groups of supporters stranded at a rest stop, reportedly from Langkawi and Pekan, Najibs hometown.

Putrajaya police chief Aidi Sham Mohamed had previously announced plans to implement roadblocks and conduct strict vehicle checks to manage the rally.

The Court of Appeal is set to hear Najibs application for leave to introduce fresh evidence in his appeal to serve his sentence under house arrest. The outcome of the hearing will likely have significant implications for Najibs legal battle and the ongoing support from his loyal base.
