
SEMPORNA: Police arrested a 29-year-old local who was suspected of threatening a man during an argument, here, last Thursday.
District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah, said the incident happened in front of a private school which is managed a by non-governmental organisation (NGO) at around 10am.
He said the argument stemmed from a group of tour guides who were unhappy with the 28-year-old complainant for filming tourists who were taking pictures at the location.
“In the heat of the moment, one of the tour guides threatened to kill the complainant. The man later lodged a police report.

The case is being investigated under Section 506 of the Penal Code.

He also reminded members of the public not to take laws into their own hands.
