SANDAKAN: Two men were charged with threatening to cause injury to a woman.
Tai Soon Hui, 24, and Al Hafeez Latif, 32, pleaded not guilty before Magistrate Nur Faezah Jafry, to the charge against them.
They are accused of committing the offence against the 39-year-old woman at 9am on Nov 28 this year at Taman Murni People’s Housing Project, here.
The offence, under Section 506 of the Penal Code and read with Section 34 of the same Code, provides for a jail term of up to two years or with fine, or both, on conviction.
The duo was released on bail of RM1,300 each with a local surety.
The court fixed Jan 29 next year for mention of the case.
Prosecuting officer, Nooraznie Bolalan, prosecuted, while counsel Wesley Chang Zeyang defended the duo.
