
SANDAKAN: Three drug addicts were arrested by Kinabatangan police during an integrated operation at Km 65, off Jalan Sandakan-Lahad Datu on Thursday.
Kinabatangan Police Chief, Superintendent Dzulbaharin Ismail, said some 23 people were examined and three of them were found positive for drugs.
“Preliminary screening results through urine tests showed two men positive for Methamphetamine and another for ketamine.
“The three suspects were handed over to the National Anti-Drug Agency (AADK) for further action,” he said at the end of the integrated operation which involved AADK, the Road Transport Department (JPJ), the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (LPKP), the National Security Council (NSC) and the Department of the Environment (DOE).

Meanwhile, Dzulbaharin said, nothing untoward happened during the operation.
“Comprehensive inspections and enforcement actions were taken against motorists who committed traffic offences,” he said.
