Three arrested for rape in Pasay

A WOMAN’s cry for help led to her rescue and the arrest of her three alleged rapists in Pasay City.

Results of the initial investigation showed that the victim was rescued by Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) personnel after she managed to escape from her attackers Wednesday.

A fourth suspect remains at large and is the subject of a police manhunt.

The 24-year-old victim, a housekeeping staff member, said she attended a birthday celebration in Malibay, Pasay City, where she became drunk.

Police said the victim boarded an e-bike driven by Raymond at around 6 a.m. to go home, but the suspect allegedly brought her to another location instead.

The suspect allegedly met with Aaron and Simeon along F. Angeles Street in Barangay 79, Zone 10, before the victim was brought to a local lodge where she was allegedly assaulted.

Police said Cristopher later arrived at the room and allegedly attempted to assault the victim, but she was able to resist.

After leaving the lodge, the suspects allegedly forced the victim onto an e-bike where she found an opportunity to escape near EDSA Rotonda and shouted for help.

The victim’s call for assistance caught the attention of MMDA personnel who immediately responded and brought her to Pasay Police Station Sub-Station 5 for assistance.

Charges for violation of Article 266-A of the Revised Penal Code, as amended by Republic Act 8353, or the Anti-Rape Law, were being prepared against the suspects.
