THREE vehicles belonging to an individual known as Cikgu Chandra were set on fire in an early morning incident believed to involve a group of unidentified men.
The incident was highlighted by independent preacher Firdaus Wong Wai Hung in a post on Threads, where he said the attack occurred early Tuesday morning.
According to Firdaus, the vehicles were torched at around 3am, with emergency services arriving shortly after to contain the blaze.
“This evening, three cars and several men wearing full-face masks and armed with machetes tried to kill Cikgu Chandra.
“Early this morning, at around 3am, they burned all three of Cikgu Chandra’s cars. Fortunately, the police and fire department arrived quickly to extinguish the fire and bring the situation under control,” he said on Tuesday.
The alleged arson follows an earlier incident in which Cikgu Chandra’s home in Puchong was reportedly attacked by a group of men who smashed the windows of his vehicles and parts of his residence.
The attack also comes just days after another independent preacher, Zamri Vinoth, was reportedly assaulted by several men while inside his car.
Firdaus called for immediate action against those responsible, warning that such acts should not be allowed to escalate.
“We cannot allow extremists like this to run rampant. This is a country governed by law.
“Punish the instigators and extremists immediately before their actions set the country ablaze,” he said. - March 10, 2026
