Kota Kinabalu: Sabah’s Tourism, Culture, and Environment Ministry has initiated measures to safeguard the welfare of its wildlife and their habitats. Three important documents are being prepared for submission to the State Government.

These are the Captive Elephant Management Plan in Sabah, the Sea Turtle Action Plan in Sabah, and the Wildlife Policy for Sabah.

“These documents have been meticulously crafted, incorporating the latest research, best practices and stakeholder input,” said Minister Datuk Christina Liew at the World Wildlife Day Conference’s closing held at Universiti Malaysia Sabah (UMS), recently.
