
KUNAK: Three people were injured in a crash involving two cars and a motorcycle at KM6 of the Kunak-Lahad Datu road on Thursday.
Kunak Fire and Rescue Station chief Mohamad Omarbatha said his department received a distress call via Mers999 at 11.59am.
A team comprising five personnel with an FRT engine and an EMRS vehicle was deployed to the scene 5 kilometres from the station.
A Proton Gen-2, a Proton Saga – which was found overturned – and a Yamaha Lagenda motorcycle were involved, with all vehicles ending up on the grassy road reserve.
Two victims, including a 46-year-old woman and a 25-year-old man, were rescued by the public and sent to hospital before the team arrived, while a third male victim received initial treatment at the scene and was taken to hospital in an EMRS vehicle.
