Three injured in Tenom crash

Tenom: Three people, including a woman and a girl, sustained minor injuries when the Proton Iswara they were travelling in skidded off a bridge and plunged 15 feet in Kampung Tukalilan, here, on Sunday.

The trio were sent to the Tenom Hospital by members of the public before firemen arrived.

The District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 8.21pm and seven members led by Shahril Sulaiman rushed to the scene with machinery.

Police officers were also at the scene.

Meanwhile, in Keningau, a semi-permanent house behind the PPH army camp was destroyed in a fire on Saturday afternoon.

The Keningau District Fire and Rescue Station received a call at 6.23pm and 13 members led by Leong Hoi Min rushed to the location with machinery.

The firemen put out the fire with a stream of 200-foot using water sources from a machine.

No casualties were reported and the operation ended at 7.10pm.
