
Two separate road accidents in Batu Gajah and Lenggong have claimed the lives of three women.
BATU GAJAH: Two women were killed in a collision on Jalan Tanjung Tualang near Batu Gajah last night. The Perak Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM) received an emergency call at 9.45 pm.
The crash involved a Perodua Myvi and a Toyota Hilux. Assistant director of operations Sabarodzi Nor Ahmad said both female victims, aged 34 and 65, were trapped inside the Perodua Myvi.
They were pronounced dead at the scene. In a separate incident early today, another woman died in a single-vehicle accident near Lenggong.
The JBPM was alerted to the crash on Jalan Baling-Kuala Kangsar at 3.56 am. Sabarodzi said a Perodua Bezza had skidded off the road.
The accident involved five individuals, including three women and a girl. “One of the female victims who was trapped in the vehicle was confirmed dead by health personnel at the scene,” he stated.
The conditions of the other four occupants were not immediately disclosed. Investigations into the causes of both accidents are ongoing.
