Three main public facilities to be upgraded in Kuala Langat

SHAH ALAM, Sept 13 - Three key public facility projects in Kuala Langat are being developed and upgraded to improve services for residents, covering stray animal management, cremation services and public transport.

The Kuala Langat Municipal Council (MPKL) said the three projects involve the development of the MPKL Stray Animal Management Centre, improvements to the Jalan Serdang Belah Crematorium and upgrades to the Jalan Sentosa Bus Terminal in Banting.

It said the development of the Stray Animal Management Centre aims to ensure stray animals are managed in a more organised, safe and effective manner, including population control and animal welfare.

“MPKL is also focusing on the development of the Jalan Serdang Belah Crematorium to ensure cremation facilities are provided in a more organised and comfortable manner, while also taking into account cleanliness and environmental management,” the council said in a statement posted on Facebook.

Meanwhile, the Jalan Sentosa Bus Terminal, which is among the important facilities supporting residents’ mobility, will also be upgraded.

MPKL said improvements to the terminal are expected to enhance users’ comfort and safety while providing a better travel experience.

The progress of all three projects was inspected by MPKL president Amri Ismail, deputy president Ahmad Zaki Yusof and the council’s directors on Sept 11.

MPKL said the efforts were part of its commitment to strengthening public facilities and improving the quality of services for the Kuala Langat community.
