Three remanded over alleged use of false documents in RM2.5 million claim

THE Purtrajaya Magistraes Court remanded three individuals, including a former executive director, on suspicion of conspiring to use documents containing false particulars involving claims amounting to approximately RM2.5 million.

Magistrate Mohd Dinie Shazwan Ab. Shukor issued a five-day remand order until 18 May 2025 against the suspects — one man and two women, aged between 30 and 40 — following a request by MACC at the Putrajaya Sessions Court this morning.

According to sources, all three individuals were detained between 4pm and 7pm yesterday while present at the MACC headquarters in Putrajaya to assist with investigations.

“They are believed to have committed the offences between 2022 and 2024, involving claims for reimbursements and bonus payments totalling around RM2.5 million,” the source said.

MACC's anti-money laundering division director, Norhaizam Muhammad confirmed the arrests and said the case is being investigated under Section 18 of the MACC Act 2009. - May 14, 2025
