A 3-YEAR-OLD girl tragically lost her life yesterday afternoon after the car she was travelling in, driven by her father, was involved in a collision at Km 3 on Jalan Kuala Pilah–Melang, outside a petrol station.
The incident occurred at approximately 3.35pm while the family was returning home to Seremban. Kuala Pilah district police chief, Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah Hussin, confirmed the accident involved two vehicles.
“Preliminary investigations found that the collision likely happened when a man driving a car with his wife, their three-year-old daughter, and a young niece was travelling from Kuala Pilah towards Seremban. When they reached the scene, a car coming from the opposite direction lost control and veered into the lane of the family's car,” he stated.
He added that despite the family car attempting to swerve to the right, the collision could not be avoided.
The young girl, who was seated in the rear passenger seat, suffered severe head injuries and was pronounced dead while receiving treatment at Tuanku Ampuan Najihah Hospital.
“The father, mother, and niece, as well as the driver of the other car, are currently receiving treatment at the same hospital,” Superintendent Muhamad Mustafah said.
He confirmed that the case is being investigated under Section 41(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987, with further investigations ongoing. - November 22, 2025
