- Scott allegedly fled a police traffic stop at speeds up to 111mph, hitting two officers, after an earlier argument where she bit her boyfriend and attempted to run him over.
- Driving a 2018 Kia Forte with her sons Jae’ Coda Thomas (3), Ju’ Mari Thomas (6), and Jack Thomas (8) as passengers, Scott lost control and struck a tree head-on.
- Two of the boys died at the scene, and the third passed away in the emergency room after being airlifted to UNC Medical Center.
- Scott was arrested on June 15, treated for injuries, and subsequently denied bail in court on June 18.
