KOTA MARUDU: Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat) Bandau Division Chief Datuk Maijol Mahap praised the Government’s plan to build a coconut factory in Langkon, here.
The decision was announced by Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor.
“I am pleased with the construction of a coconut factory in Langkon because it would have a positive impact on the socio-economics in this district, which is regarded as one of Malaysia’s backward districts,” said Maijol, who is also a Gagasan Rakyat Supreme Council member, in a statement.
He said the existence of the coconut factory would improve the economic situation of the community, particularly coconut planters in the district and nearby districts.
