Heavy rain and strong winds are forecast for multiple districts in Sabah and Sarawak until 6 pm today

KUALA LUMPUR: The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) today issued a thunderstorm warning, with heavy rain and strong winds expected in Sabah and Sarawak until 6 pm.

In the warning issued at 2.45 pm, it said the areas expected to be hit in Sabah are the Interior (Tambunan), West Coast (Ranau), Tawau (Tawau, Kunak and Semporna) and Sandakan (Telupid).

In Sarawak, the areas involved are Kuching, Serian, Samarahan, Sri Aman, Sarikei (Pakan and Julau), Sibu, Mukah (Dalat and Mukah), Kapit (Song, Kapit and Bukit Mabong) and Bintulu.
