KUALA LUMPUR, July 7 — Thunderstorms, heavy rain and strong winds have been forecasted in nine states, Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya till 6pm.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department issued the warning for Johor, Negeri Sembilan, Perak (Hulu Perak, Kuala Kangsar, Kinta, Kampar, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang and Muallim), Kelantan (Tumpat, Pasir Mas, Jeli, Tanah Merah, Kuala Krai and Gua Musang), Terengganu (Setiu, Kuala Nerus, Kuala Terengganu, Marang, Dungun and Kemaman), Pahang (Tanah Tinggi Cameron, Bentong, Temerloh, Kuantan, Bera, Pekan and Rompin), and Selangor (Sabak Bernam, Kuala Selangor, Hulu Selangor, Gombak, Petaling, Hulu Langat and Sepang).

Over in Sarawak, the warning includes Kuching, Sarikei (Julau), Sibu (Kanowit), Mukah (Mukah), Kapit (Song), Bintulu (Bintulu dan Sebauh), Miri (Subis, Beluru, Miri and Marudi) and Limbang.

Finally the following areas in Sabah, Pedalaman (Sipitang, Tenom, Beaufort, Nabawan, Keningau and Tambunan), the West Coast (Papar, Penampang, Kota Kinabalu, Tuaran and Ranau) and Sandakan (Tongod, Telupid, Beluran and Sandakan) are also affected. — Bernama
