KUALA LUMPUR, April 28 -Thunderstorms, heavy rain, and strong winds are expected to hit the Federal Territories of Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, as well as 10 other states, until midnight.

The Malaysian Meteorological Department (MetMalaysia) said that the affected states are Kedah (Kuala Muda, Kulim, and Bandar Baharu); Penang; Perak (Bagan Datuk, Hilir Perak, Batang Padang, and Muallim); Pahang (Cameron Highlands, Lipis, and Raub); and Selangor.

The same warning has also been issued for Negeri Sembilan, covering Seremban, Port Dickson, Kuala Pilah, Rembau and Tampin; Melaka; as well as Tangkak, Muar, and Batu Pahat in Johor.

In Sabah, the affected area is Putatan in the West Coast district, while in Sarawak, the warning involves Kuching (Lundu), Serian, and Samarahan (Simunjan).
