- A mother desperately attempted to stop a man who died after jumping into a tiger enclosure at Yorkshire Wildlife Park, according to eyewitnesses.
- The man overpowered the woman, who was accompanied by her two children, before leaping off a bridge into the tiger compound.
- Witness Scarlet Hogan told The Telegraph that the man appeared to be “in a trance” as he bowed and prayed to the tiger with his arms wide open.
- The tiger then attacked the man, latching onto his neck in front of shocked park visitors.
- The wildlife park later said that the tiger would not be euthanised and that the zoo would not reopen on Monday.
