Tim Steidten is delighted taking charge of West Ham United.
The former Bayer Leverkusen sporting director's appointment was confirmed on Saturday.
He said, I am extremely proud to be joining West Ham United, at such an exciting time in this Club's incredible history. Building on the Club's recent European success, there is already a fantastic team in place, but also so much ambition from the Board, the Manager, his staff and the players to continue succeeding, developing and growing.
"I cannot wait to play a key part in that. Come on you Irons!"
Hammers manager David Moyes also said: On behalf of everyone at the Club, I would like to welcome Tim to the West Ham United family. He has a strong track record in elite level football and we're really looking forward to working with him."
