KUALA LUMPUR: TT dotCom Sdn Bhd (Time) and LGMS Bhd have formalised a strategic Memorandum of Collaboration (MoC) at the recent National Cyber Security Summit (NCSS) 2026.
The partnership aims to strengthen the nation’s cybersecurity ecosystem by integrating trusted digital infrastructure and local expertise with robust security operations.
The MoC was witnessed by Megat Zuhairy Megat Tajuddin, chief executive of the National Cyber Security Agency, alongside TT dotCom’s executive director, Datuk Zainal Amanshah.
Under the new agreement, Time will leverage its digital infrastructure, secure connectivity, Managed Security Operations Centre (Managed SOC) capabilities, and network intelligence. This will be paired with LGMS’ specialized expertise in cybersecurity advisory, governance, risk and compliance, security assessment, threat intelligence, and incident response.
The collaboration will focus on five strategic pillars:
- Driving joint go-to-market initiatives to speed up cybersecurity adoption across Malaysian enterprises and public sector organisations
- Developing a comprehensive cybersecurity collaboration framework that spans advisory, Managed SOC, continuous monitoring, and incident response
- Strengthening Malaysia’s digital independence through locally hosted infrastructure, sovereign AI capabilities, and homegrown cybersecurity expertise
- Fostering professional growth through knowledge exchange, skills development, and operational readiness initiatives; and
- Researching AI-powered cybersecurity technologies, threat intelligence, security analytics, and advanced operations.
Azhar Adnan, Time Enterprise and Public Sector chief executive officer, emphasised that modern cybersecurity extends far beyond protecting systems.
“It is about enabling organisations to innovate with confidence. As businesses embrace AI, cloud and digital transformation, trusted digital infrastructure becomes the foundation that underpins resilience, governance and business continuity,” Azhar said.
“Through this collaboration with LGMS, we are combining secure digital infrastructure, Managed SOC capabilities and local cybersecurity expertise to deliver integrated cybersecurity capabilities that help Malaysian organisations strengthen cyber resilience, support digital sovereignty and accelerate secure digital transformation.”
The alliance comes at a crucial time for Malaysia’s evolving security landscape. The implementation of the Cyber Security Act 2024 and a heightened focus on National Critical Information Infrastructure resilience have intensified the demand for locally relevant, operationally ready solutions.
By tailoring their upcoming collaboration framework to Malaysia’s specific regulatory, operational, and threat environments, Time and LGMS aim to help enterprises, public sector bodies, and regulated industries build tighter defenses and navigate secure digital transformations smoothly.
LGMS founder and managing director, Fong Choong Fook, noted that modern cybersecurity requires more than isolated technologies.
“Organisations need an integrated engagement framework that brings together advisory, governance, continuous monitoring, incident response and operational intelligence,” said Fong.
“By partnering with Time, we are combining complementary strengths to deliver cybersecurity capabilities designed specifically for Malaysia’s regulatory and operational environment.
“Together, we aim to strengthen local cybersecurity capabilities and help organisations build greater confidence in their digital future.”
He added that the collaboration reinforces both organisations’ commitment to developing Malaysia’s cybersecurity ecosystem through local innovation, AI-driven security operations, knowledge sharing and the continuous development of sovereign cybersecurity capabilities that support long-term national resilience.
