LABUAN: The series of incursions by the Chinese military in the border waters of Sabah and Sarawak in the South China Sea was a signal for Malaysia to immediately increase the country’s defence capabilities and military assets in the region.
Member of Parliament for Labuan, Datuk Rozman Isli said most of the Malaysia’s military assets, especially the combat machinery on air and sea, are old and should be replaced or supplemented with more sophisticated equipment.
