Kota Kinabalu: Datuk OKK Titing bin Putang, who has relinquished his post as Kinabatangan Umno Information Chief and resigned as an Umno member, denied issuing a statement pertaining to a political matter of the division that went viral on social media.
He said he never issued the statement that was published in newspapers on Friday which quoted him as saying that the Umno division remained intact and not affected by the departure of some of its members to Gagasan Rakyat.
On Friday, it was reported that Umno Kinabatangan division committee member Datuk Juhari Janan announced his decision to quit the party and expressed intention to join Parti Gagasan Rakyat Sabah (Gagasan Rakyat).
